Privacy policy

This policy covers two things: this website, and “Esti Univerzum kezelő”, the private tool we use to manage our own YouTube channels (The Evening Universe and Esti Univerzum).
This website
- The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Fonts and images are served from our own server.
- Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
- The video player is loaded from YouTube only after you press the play button. From that moment YouTube, a Google service, receives your request and may process your data under the Google Privacy Policy. Links to youtube.com take you to YouTube directly.
The channel management tool
The tool uses YouTube API Services. Only the channel owner signs in to it; it has no other users.
What the tool accesses
- Comments posted on our own videos: the comment text, the commenter's public channel name and channel ID, and the time of posting.
- Our own videos and their details: titles, descriptions, thumbnails, subtitles and publishing status.
- Our own channels' analytics: views, watch time, subscriber changes and, where available, revenue. These are aggregate figures and do not identify individual viewers.
- The owner's Google sign-in tokens, which let the tool act for the two channels.
How the tool uses this data
- To reply to comments, and to hold back or remove spam.
- To upload and update our own videos.
- To send the channel owner a daily summary of the channels' statistics.
To help draft replies, the text of a comment may be sent to an AI language model through a third-party provider. Only what is needed to write the reply is sent. We do not sell data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Storage and deletion
- Data is stored on a server we control, located in the European Union.
- Comment data obtained through the YouTube API is kept for no longer than 30 days, after which it is deleted or refreshed from YouTube.
- Sign-in tokens are kept until the owner revokes access.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete your own comments on YouTube at any time.
- If you would like us to delete data we hold about a comment of yours, write to the address below.
- The channel owner can revoke the tool's access at any time on the Google security settings page.
